The walk will begin at 4:00 PM, taking off from the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Building, and will continue onward until it reaches the Chief Dull Knife College Campus Lawn. After the walk, we will feature an open mic session where participants can share their thoughts. If you have the time in your schedule, we invite you to come join us for this community event.

Thursday, September 10th, 2024’s Walk with Us event turned into a truly heartfelt community gathering that brought people together for an important cause. Thank you to all those who participated in the walk from the Tribal Council Building to the Chief Dull Knife lawn, demonstrating solidarity and support for Suicide Awareness and Prevention.

Special thanks and acknowledgement to those brave individuals who had the courage and strength to step forward and speak at the gathering, sharing your stories and offering words of encouragement that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. We would also like to express our gratitude to all those individuals who showed their support for those who took the time to speak. Your encouragement means a great deal to our community. We also acknowledge the contributions of those who made this event possible, including Chief Dull Knife College, the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council, and the Chief Dull Knife College Extension Office.

We sincerely hope that the heartfelt messages of this important event will reach everyone in the community; remember, you are not alone.

As we move forward, please be on the lookout for other activities planned throughout this month aimed at raising awareness and promoting prevention efforts related to suicide. Additionally, reach out to Melissa Lonebear if you have any ideas or suggestions for future initiatives.
