This report provides a comprehensive overview of the allocation and distribution of a one-time payment of $64,512,505.06 received by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe from the U.S. Treasury in March 2021.

The US Treasury designated the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) through the American Rescue Plan Act to deliver $350 billion to state, territorial, local, and Tribal governments across the country to support the response to and recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency. The Northern Cheyenne Nation received $64.4 million-utilizing a majority of the funding on Economic Relief Payments distributed to the Northern Cheyenne members through an application process. Premium pay was provided to all Northern Cheyenne tribal employees and the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority, Northern Cheyenne Development Corporation, Northern Cheyenne Utilities Commission, and Charging Horse Casino staff.

Currently, the ARPA Program will assist in the building of a new Tribal Ed.
