Poster displaying the Youth Rodeo Events.

The final event in the Northern Cheyenne Youth Rodeo Series: Promoting Healthy Activities for our Youth was met with a contagious enthusiasm through muddy conditions.

Thank you to all those who made these events possible, from the initial set-up to the final take-down and everything in between. The Tribal Council, Colton Small, Megan Small, Brandon Small, PCD, DEMO crew, TERO, NCDC, Melissa Lonebear, Sharon Small, Coty Harris, Kurri Harris, Tiger Scalpcane, Ty Fischer, Rowdy Alexander,  JC Lawrence, Bo Tyler Vocu, Alicia Cano, Lissy Whiteman, Nolan Limberhand, Amelio Blackhorse, Tuffy Limberhand, Waylon Sioux, Ground Crew, Little Coyote Construction, Lammer’s Trading Post, Morning Star Propane, Morning Star Sanitation, and the entire community.

A special acknowledgment to all the enthusiastic youth who participated. The first event in the series brought 280 contestants, followed by 244 contestants in the second event, and concluding with 329 contestants. We truly hope that this series successfully met its goal of introducing young people to various rodeo events as a valuable alternative to mainstream sports and will continue pursuing them.

Congratulations to all those who placed in the competitions and to everyone who took home a new animal friend. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off.

See you next year!
